The most daunting challenge of this study was the merging of two separate spaces to a single pharmacy store. The staircase lobby of the main building was completely separating the two spaces, and the access from two different streets, were the key constraints that influenced the design. The goal was the functionality, the aesthetics and the unique identity of the pharmacy. We focused on the typology, the enrichment of the signage, the relations of the various departments and the full exploitation of the space. We proposed elegant solutions for the storage and promotion of products and a modern and distinct identity, both in Greece and internationally.
The display sections are organized having in mind the pharmacy entrances, while the laboratory is developed next to the stairwell. The goods are enhanced with interior lighting, which is indirect and is placed behind each shelf unit so that it illuminates them discreetly and highlights them.
The result is described by high aesthetics and minimal references and provides the pharmacy the character of a store with notable technical characteristics. As a group the design covers all the contemporary needs for functionality, aesthetics, adaptability, exhibition flexibility, while it becomes instantly attractive to customers.
