The study refers to the renovation of a retail located in one of the vastest commercial stores in Ghana. The goal was to design a cafe of high aesthetics, which will function as a place of relaxation and recreation for visitors to the mall.
The primary concern was the study of the movements inside and outside the shop, to provide an unobstructed visual contact with the interior of the cafe. An elongated marble bench is designed at the entrance, where the necessary equipment is placed for the best and most immediate customer service. There are blackboards on the wall behind the counter with menu options. On the left of the store, there is a waiting area with table seats, while on the other side a timber bench with a stool was designed. On the outside, two rows of table seats define the entrance corridor of the store.
The proposal is completed with the study of lighting, textures and colors that will furnish the cafeteria. The white marble is combined with decorative objects in gold tones, to provide a luxury character to the space. A semi-transparent gold divider is suspended on the roof to limit the view of the ventilation system. The alternation of burgundy and white table seats breaks the continuity of the space. The use of wood and warm colors conveys a friendlier and cozier atmosphere in the space. All of the above resulted in the store exuding a sense of refined and luxurious design.
