Participation in the SPAZIO DESIGN international competition "LA TAVOLA" with the "ALTAR" table in Italy winning the 1st PRIZE.
The "altar" is a circular table made of cast aluminum. Even though it was conceptualized as a work of art, it also stayed loyal to its function as a piece of furniture that lies in the core of interaction among family members, friends or between a couple.
The "altar" creates a focal point, able to inspire and trigger imagination.
The spectacular and the ritual occur through a simple but enriched poetic language.
In this way and apart from the fact that it exhibits a clear mental interest, the invitation definately consists a sign of the contemporary era when the criteria that determine the "value" of a product of design, e.g aesthetic pleasure, functionality, productivity etc, interrelate without any distinction.
